Cozy and rad eh?  The fella in the pic getting tattooed is my friend and bandmate Bret, from The Loveless!  We were knocking out a tribute tattoo to the great Nick Curran, which you will see below :)

On to the tattoos!!!

It seems like I have so much to share, so I will keep it brief (well, as brief as I can :)…

Old New Art…

I have been meaning to get this and a few other pieces up on this here blog for a lil while now, but, wouldn’t ya know it, I have been busy :)

This watercolor painting was inspired (yet again) by old time tattoo shop signage… this time, instead of fixing black eyes, the barber shop customer waiting was alerted to the fact that he could get tattooed while waiting for his turn to get a haircut.  I have never actually seen an original sign for this offer, but I am still searching diligently to find one.

I tried some new things on this painting and am pleased with the overall results.  This is going to be part of a mini flash set I intend to use for promotional materials.  Keep it locked here or my Facebook page for more info.

Big Thangs…

NEWS!  Big NEWS!!!

On November 17th, I will be relocating back to my beloved Gem City, DAYTON, OH!

On an even bigger news front, I will be going back to tattooing with my dear friend, mentor and all around tattoo badass Chad Wells (as well as the phenomenal Matt Clemmer)!  I will be taking appointments at Wells & Co. Custom Tattoo and laying down some tattoo wizardry myself :)

You can also reach me at my Facebook page, or by emailing me at my email address found there in.

In other news, keep a look out for other projects from yours truly coming up, like the art screen printing shop I am starting with my main homie Tim… it’s called Cheap Thrills, more details soon.

You can also pick up my first printed work, a t-shirt that I designed for my friends, Dayton Psychobilly Monsters THE LOVELESS!  You can get one by contacting them by clicking the link above, or by contacting me. Check the pic below!

Thanks for all of your support and thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Back to the actual arts!

I have had this done for a little while now, but could NOT get a good picture of the final piece… I kept getting all sorts of glare off of the graphite!  Today I was finally victorious! (oh, and if any of you feel like playing Santa, I could really use a decent digital camera ;)

This is my most recent attempt at black and gray realism.  I am pretty happy with it, even though it took me FOREVER to complete.  For my next attempt, I have picked up some actual tattoo pointers when it comes to realism, so I am going to implement those and, with any luck, speed up my process.  I am really enjoying doing these B & G works (even if they make me pull my hair out at times!), so I can’t wait to start my next one.

I was able to include some progress shots again… Check ‘em out!

Thanks for stopping by!
